About Vaughn
Vaughn Reed is an exceptional student at Merancas Middle College High School, where he excels both academically and as an active participant in various school and community initiatives. Vaughn’s leadership shines through his involvement with the Black Student Union, National Honor Society, and the Yearbook Club. Outside the classroom, he dedicates himself to community-building activities with the Boy Scouts, Jack and Jill of America, and First Tee Golf, where he is pursuing Ace-level recognition.
Vaughn’s commitment to service is exemplified by his Eagle Scout project, which involves building an outdoor library, and his contributions to Friendship Missionary Baptist Church’s children’s events. His accomplishments include earning a place on the A/B Honor Roll, making the CPCC Dean’s List, and earning the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.
With aspirations to study Graphic Design and Marketing, Vaughn plans to leverage his creativity to shape meaningful careers in design and advertising. His greatest strengths—hard work and creativity—fuel his endeavors, while he continues to grow in maintaining focus and perspective. Vaughn sees the Alpha Beautillion program as an opportunity to further develop his leadership skills, expand his network, and engage in impactful community service alongside like-minded peers.
