About Rafael
Rafael Reed, a distinguished student at Merancas Middle College High School, exemplifies academic and extracurricular excellence. As a leader in the Merancas Physical Activity Club and an active member of the National Honor Society and Black Student Union, Rafael thrives in fostering collaboration and building community. Additionally, he is a key player on the Hopewell High Golf Team and contributes to the Boy Scouts, Jack and Jill of America, and First Tee Golf, where he is working toward Ace-level certification.
Rafael’s dedication to service is evident in his work as a Youth Worship Leader and volunteer at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, assisting with children’s events and the basketball program. His accolades include recognition as a Junior Marshall for maintaining a Top 10 GPA, induction into the National Honor Society, and the earning of Eagle Scout rank.
Rafael aspires to study Accounting or Finance, drawn by his passion for mathematics and a desire to help others achieve financial security. He envisions a future in banking or financial services, with plans to eventually launch his own practice. Rafael views the Alpha Beautillion as an invaluable opportunity to refine his leadership skills, expand his community impact, and build lifelong connections with like-minded peers.
