Donald W. DeBouse

Donald Wayne DeBouse, son of the late Oscar and Emma Mae DeBouse, was born on December 17, 1956, in Denver, Colorado. He peacefully departed this life on July 17, 2021.

Don attended Denver Public Schools where he was an outstanding scholar and excelled in baseball and golf. He loved the game of golf from his youth and worked at the Denver City Park Golf Course in exchange for playing privileges. Upon graduating from Manuel High School in 1975, Don continued to pursue his passion and graduated from Cornell University’s highly-ranked Industrial Engineering and Operations Research Program. On December 4, 1976, he was initiated into the Alpha Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha, Fraternity Incorporated. After graduating, he continued his education at the prestigious Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he completed a Master of Business Administration in Decision Sciences.

Mr. DeBouse retired in 2014 from Corporate America, where his career spanned several Fortune 500 companies. Donald then received his Broker Licensing & Property Management license from the Mingle School of Real Estate. Utilizing the skills he acquired through golf to navigate the traps and hazards, he flourished in the community sector. Donald was a lifetime member of Alpha Phi Alpha, Fraternity Incorporated, and a member of the Cornell Black Alumni Association, Par Busters Golf Group, the YMCA Big Brothers Big Sisters Program, The Interstate Golf Association, a volunteer of The First Tee Program-Charlotte, and a participant of the North Carolina Association of Realtors. He played a significant role on the Parkview Board of Directors to oversee daily operations and finances for the Parkview Homeowner’s Association in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Golf was his passion, but he truly loved his wife Diane, his children, and every grandchild.
