Through mentorship, education, and opportunity, the B.E.A.M. Foundation is building a brighter future for young people in Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas—one mind at a time.

Too many young people in Charlotte’s underrepresented communities lack access to opportunity.

Without the right guidance and support, underserved youth face real barriers—academic challenges, limited exposure to career paths, and a lack of consistent mentorship. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

Since 1997, the B.E.A.M. Foundation has empowered over 1,000 young people in Charlotte and surrounding areas with programs that foster academic success, leadership, and personal development. Our mentors reflect the communities we serve, offering guidance that is both relevant and transformative.

Our Core Programs

Alpha Academy

Leadership and academic enrichment for middle and high school students in grades 6–10.

Alpha Beautillion

A rite of passage and scholarship program for high school seniors preparing for college and adulthood.

Coding Academy

A summer tech program introducing middle school students to software development and STEM careers.

Pharoahs

Early development and character-building for elementary-aged boys through identity, values, and positive peer interaction.

Project Alpha

A program for young males (ages 12–15) focused on healthy relationships, consent, and responsible decision-making around teen pregnancy and personal health.

Our programs build confidence, character, and capability—
giving youth the tools to thrive in school, life, and their communities.

When young people don’t have access to opportunity, their future can be defined by limitation instead of possibility. With your support, we can change that story—one life at a time.

Your involvement makes a lasting impact. Whether you give, mentor, or volunteer—you’re helping build a stronger Charlotte for all.
